Which industries can count on financial support?
The following industries can apply for the government assistance offered under Industry Shield 6.0:
- catering;
- cultural and entertainment;
- sports;
- retail;
- tourism;
- transportation;
- educational;
- catering;
- laundry services;
It is worth noting that not all companies operating in these industries will be able to apply for assistance. To receive it, a company must meet several conditions. One of them is the scope of activities determined by the PKD codes. Interestingly, not all companies can take advantage of all the forms of support offered.
Exemption from Social Security under the industry shield
Companies whose main activity is defined by one of the following codes may apply for exemption from Social Security contributions for the period from November 1 to 30, 2020:

It is important that the indicated activity be carried out as of September 30, 2020. In addition, the company by June 30 must be declared what kind of contributor. It will also be necessary to show a minimum 40% decrease in revenue in one of the two months – October or November – relative to the same month last year.
The good news for those who have already paid premiums for the period indicated is that they can expect to be reimbursed once their application for exemption is granted.
One-time and non-refundable grant of up to PLN 5,000
Micro and small companies operating in the areas indicated below (as of September 30, 2020) can apply for one-time support in the form of a non-refundable grant of 5 thousand. PLN.

In addition, the company must not have a suspended business status as of September 30, 2020. As with the Social Security exemption, the entrepreneur must also show at least a 40% decrease in income in October or November relative to a given month last year.
According to the gov.pl website, for the grant to be non-refundable, the company must be in operation for another three months after receiving support.
Parking benefit
Another one-time support is a parking benefit, which can be applied for by companies operating (as of September 30, 2020) in one of the areas listed below:

Additional conditions to be met are, again as with other forms of support, a 40% decrease in income in October or November compared to last year. It offers 80% of the monthly minimum wage, or PLN 2080 gross, or 50% for those settling through a tax card.
The list of government support also included:
- subsidized wages for employees;
- exemption from market fees;
- facilitating the hiring of employees;
- special solutions dedicated to the tourism industry.

When Industry Shield 6.0. Will it come into effect?
The resolution is currently awaiting the signature of President Andrzej Duda. Next, it must be published in the Official Gazette. The first forms of support will be launched three days after the said publication.
It is also worth noting that the government does not rule out expanding Shield 6.0. to include more industries and to extend the time of its operation.
